Great setup and nice dog, what kind of dog is that?
heh.. that's one of two dogs. She's a mutt, and we're not positive what she has in her.. our best guess is that it's lab and american bulldog.

Hows the glossy screen on the MBP, does it cause eye strain in any way?.
Also couldn't you find a way to hide the cables? and couldn't you spring for an ACD, nothing is wrong with Dell but it just doesn't look pretty on the wall...with cables. Still like the setup though, in all honesty, but think the ACDs look *prettier* when mounted. There i said it, bring on the hate mail...or reply in this case
The glossy screen is great, IMO. No eye strain at all.. but then again, I'm using the external about 70% of the time..
As far as cables and the Dell.. A computer has cables. That's just how it is.. I think I've managed them pretty darn well, and having two doesn't bother me in the least. The ACD would be "prettier", I guess, but I think the Dell is sexy, looks great on the wall, has more inputs, and was a much better buy. The ACD is a rip off. I wasn't about to pay $400 more for less.
I know what you mean, i own the 2007WFP and it pawns the ACD IMHO. The ACD just looks prettier, thats about it.
Wouldn't wall mount it though but thats just me.
My first Mac, in situ in my room at uni.
From left to right:
Mug.
Lens cap for my 350D.
Sony Ericsson w810i.
15" MacBook Pro, 2GHz Core Duo, 1.5GB, on an iCurve with an Apple keyboard.
Logitech MX518 mouse.
6GB iPod Mini.
Wacom Graphire 2 A6 tablet.
Graphical calculator.
Western Digital MyBook Premium 250GB Firewire.
Creative Gigaworks T20 speakers.
Yeah, I still love mine. I think I'm going to get a new 30GB iPod this Christmas though for the simple reason that 6GB just isn't enough any more!Love the mini still sometimes wish i hadn't sold mine. The new nanos while cool are waaay too small IMHO and somewhat unwieldly.
Extras
iPod Shuffle 2G 1GB
iPod Shuffle 1G 1GB(the white case, you can't see the iPod, but its there)
iPod Nano 2G 4GB Green ( In blue iPod sock)
iPod 1G 5GB(In green iPod sock)
iPod 5G 60Gb (In black case)
What do you do with all these iPods?

For goodness sake, why can't people understand that because of the worse (or shoddy) backlight and internal technology, the dell display are not as good, or accurate as the Apple Cinema display.
People just don't seem to get it. They also look horrible, but that is an opinion, the quality is not.
exactly my opinion as wellUhm, no. Quite positive that the Dell looks gorgeous.. perfect backlighting, great colors... For what I do, I'd never notice the difference between the ACD and the Dell.
I'm quite sure that Apple fanboys would like to kid themselves into thinking that the Dell is inferior to their precious Apple displays, which justifies paying twice as much for it. But.. no. The 23" ACD's are notorious for the pink hue.. my Dell? Perfect.
Any color discrepancies would be corrected by a calibrator, anyways, for the professionals that *depend* on color accuracy.. regardless of whether they're using a dell or an ACD - so any "out of the box" color accuracy that the ACD might offer over the Dell is useless.
At any rate, this is not the thread to be arguing over monitors. There are plenty of other threads for you to defend your overpriced ACD. Go search.
I just rearranged my setup. Got rid of CRT monitor, cleaned up desk, organized CDs and I also changed the place of my MBP to where the CRT used to sit. Still need to get new wireless keyboard and mouse and I'm hoping to get a nice dell 20" widescreen within a couple months.
