Final examens are arriving, which means: cleaning up my desk and start working..

Some pics of my new setup, I've posted this setup a few weeks ago already, but hell, this setup is much more organised than before, so: new pics :)

What's that framed Star Wars poster on the wall, where did you get it, and can you take a picture of it? Sorry about the abruptness, but when it comes to Star Wars, there are no time for pleasantries.

New mac convert here! (Well, partially - had the macbook since September last year, recently replaced my dell with the iMac)

Pleasant will you be, abrubtness, to the darkside it leads ;)

I've bought it at a local comic shop in Belgium.

here's a picture from google

mine's an original from 1985, but they made reprints of it during the nineties, which you can buy e.g. here: http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/1022693/-/Product.html?Cur=257&P36=5EWCZY

As for the iPods:
"only" four of them actually work
the pink shuffle, shuffle 1gen, ipod 3gen 20gb and the 80gb 5.5gen are working

the 4gen, ipod mini and the 5gen ipod 30gb are relics of the past..

I've got a few new toys and complete rejigged my setup and office space so it was time to post a few new pictures:

At first it looked really comfortable but then once I saw the back support... it doesn't look all that padded, but now that I see how thick it is from the two eye kind of slots where your kneck will be. It's quite deceiving. Looks wild!

I love how it looks like you can tuck yourself right in, like NASA style or something.

thats one slick setup u got there ;) nice view out the window?

Thanks

Its not bad there is a wood on one side and a view over the houses into the distance the other.

Yea i love that setup so nice and clean looks really nice. Also nice mixture between Mac and PC.

Yeah I like using both , I would switch full time to a mac, but I can't justify the cost of a mac pro. And I need to support windows machines so it's easier to have a pc. One day I may get a mac pro and go for it, but not any time soon.

What drive/enclosure is that? I'm looking for that exact same thing so I can Raid 1 two 500gb drives!

Its a Proavio dvBox Pro it matches the mac mini very nicely, it takes two ide drives and uses firewire 800, great little thing, but noisy if you leave the fans in, I removed them in mine. More info here on my website: http://www.gordyhand.co.uk/dvbox.htm . There are other versions of it and you can raid two drives together or as I've done treat them as separate disks.

The backs quite well padded it just looks like it isn't , the harness slots are in an area where nothing touches the seat at my neck so I don't have a problem with them. Its great for forcing me to sit properly as I used sit in a terrible position hehe.

i think that's a DROBO (www.drobo.com)

Nope that's my pc.

Um the black thing is the itx system which is in a Hoojum cubit 3 :)

The silver g5/mac pro looking box is the hard drive enclosure

You are correct! :)

More pics of it here: http://gordyhand.co.uk/gallery/v/casemodding/picopc/ but as its matt black its a nightmare to photograph well. Particularly next to silver and light things.

nice setup, very clean, very nice combo of mac and pc.

where did you get that desk?

and is that an mx revolution? how do you like it?

Hm. That is a rather hawt setup you have there. Giggity.

Thanks :)

I made the desk myself so it fits my needs. Its massive and hides all the nasty cables.

Yeah its the mx rev. Its very comfy tho the logitech drivers are a joke. I had the mx1000 before and its just as good and better supported. I'd think long and hard before buying another logitech product after seeing the vista drivers .
