I guess its in the contracts with PC manufacturers. Macs do not have intel stickers or logos anywhere on the computer.

Yeah... I think Apple is actually paying more so that they dont have to put those stupid stickers on their computers!

in a way, intel gives pc builders advertiseing money to put stickers on their pc's and add intel jingles to their ads.

Nuh uh, they are thinner... and, um... have different ports. Um... and... MacBook Pro's have iSight cameras and IR Windows... regular PowerBooks don't! :D ;)

Looks like I'm first for pictures:

Just picked up my macbookpro up, I orginally ordered a 1.67ghz mbp, which got upgraded to the 1.83ghz model, but when I went into my local mac reseller to upgrade the ram on my girlfriends mini. They told me they had finally recieved some MBP's and mainly the 2.0ghz ones. After about 10seconds I changed my order to the 2ghz version :D

It decided to absolutly chuck it down as I left the store and I was very happy I decided to carry it in the external box as I got soaked by the cars waiting to cross the road!

Anyway onto the pictures

First impressions are good, it's much easier to see everything than on my old 12in powerbook and its very quick to boot up. I still need to sling in my extra stick of ram but I will do that later.

If you want more pictures I have a whole heap more in my gallery:

I am anxious to see if they produce a 12" or 13". I still look at my 12" PB and smile.

15" is nice. But not for my needs.

Its great. Very easy to use , though I'm a bit concerend about how strong the connection is if you pull the cable straight out. It drags the MBP with it :D

Battery life seems better than my old 12in powerbook. On best saving its telling me 3hrs 50mins left.

They're nice, but much much too big for my taste, I wouldn't buy one. I'm hoping they don't forget about people like me that like small notebooks...like 12" or 13.3". The 12" PB and iBooks were really popular though, so I don't seem them discontinuing 12" unless they're moving to 13.3", which in that case I guess I could settle for one of those.

I like my icons big because I don't have anything else on it, and they look so glossy & cool. I LIKE GLOSSY THINGS & I LIKE GREEN. That's all that matters. Checkers are good too, haha. I love my MacBook Pro screen though, it really is bright, sometiems I turn it down...sometimes at night when I don't have lights on and I have it all the way up it hurts my eyes
