I'd consider pets as possessions. You buy/find/get gifted them, you look after them, you take them for walks, you clean up after them.

Mine :3.

My Kindle

Not my most expensive possession, but my most beloved...

My favorite computer, use it all the time and is the first computer that I paid for fully with my own money =] Still have the packaging and manuals for it too.

I think dogs are possessions. If someone came and took them, I would definitely be claiming they were mine if I saw someone with them.

That being said, for the purpose of not making this another post your pet thread, I am going to pick something else that has given me hours of pleasure (Sinatra 21 CD Capital Years - AKA: "London Box"):

I would probably have to say my Cadillac... only because I wanted one for so long before I bought it. She is a little rough around the edges, but I wouldn't trade for anything else.

Monetary: A signed and spit on Simple Plan "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls" CD. They were (still are?) my favorite band from my teen years. [The CD is back at my parents house, I'll try to remember to take a picture next time I'm home.]

Sentimental: A handmade bracelet a late friend gave me and a 'miss you' card from my girlfriend when she was studying in Italy for a semester last fall.
