Not Digital, but real format.
Well, that disqualifies me.
Actually, I do have a few CDs, but I don't have a picture of em right now.

toothpaste do you just live in a record store?![]()
Damn fine collection BTW, I'm on the slightly envious side!!
But I must ask:
Do you listen to them all or do you just buy lots of vinyl and put it on shelves?

I hope you have some really good organisation system. I see the L so I guess its alphabetically, by artist or album?
Its amazing most of them look pretty worn out, so I guess you listen to them a bunch.
PS: Ever read the book 'High Fidelity'?
That is my fathers prized collection. He dragged all this vinyl across 3 continents. In his youth he knew a girl that had a mother/father (don't remember which) that worked at RCA-Viktor. My father got hooked up big time. His collection is an amazing peek into the past of music history. Additionally, all the records he actually purchased himself.
Over the past 33 years (my age), I have listened to pretty much all his vinyl. I can listen to them, and sometimes I'm even allowed to take them with me to digitize at home or use (when I used to dj).

Now for my collection. I have ~2000 records or so. I'm always looking for rare stuff or artists that I want to have a vinyl copy or two. I never really thought much about how much time I spend looking for music, but I have to admit it borders the insane.
My dad had my brother and me help him build the shelves so that he could waste his free time playing with his music. Personally, I would have arranged by BPM, he chose to arrange the vinyl alphabetically. Some covers are more worn than others, true, but the vinyl in most cases is flawless (aside from the few records my brother took with him to scratch with), which are a bit worn.
All in all, my only competition for collecting music (if you can even call it a competition) is to try to impress my dad with the depth of my collection be it vinyl, cds, or digital. Music is something we are very passionate about in my family.
