I don't have any great pics but this is my shop and one of the computers in it running my shopbot cncrouter. it could be cool to get a cheap mac to run it but it would have to be one that could handle bootcamp. I am tired of buying cheap computers that can run xp.
I hope to change over my main computer to a mac as I can afford it.
but hey how is this for a nerd woodworker?

Second bedroom of our condo. Its my office and study center. We just moved over around a month ago cross country, so we are still unpacking and finding where to put things.

My latest purchase was a second 23" ACD. Matching 23"s are the best!

M-Audio studio pro 4's. I have a receiver in the room, but I just use it to stream itunes through an airport express.

Ok, this is dumb. We have so many of these threads already. This should be merged with another thread.

wow, this is dumb. we have so many of these posts already, this should be deleted.

Anyway, who died and made you arn? If the mods think the thread is inappropriate they'll close or merge it. Otherwise, if you don't like it don't read it, eh?

I do like it, I just don't think there should be another thread. The mods work hard to maintain the current setup thread, and this thread is unnecessarily complicating everything. I assumed (wrongfully so) that the thread would have been already brought to a mod's attention.

No need to get angry here, thanks.

we're not professional looking unless we have to be when potential clients come in for meetings.

haha i laughed, I can picture all of you shooting some pool and then 30 seconds before your meeting someone yells "to the batcave!" and you all rush to throw on suits and dress shoes :D

I know this thread is old but I thought I would post some pics of my Nerd-Cave. I don't have any Macs or modern computers in it though. Also these pics are of last year, I've gotten more since then (like a red Wii).:D

The current count is 896 games (the Pac-Man cabinet counts as 1).

Fair enough but ...
Post your office
Post your room
Post your Home Theater
Post your recording studio
Post your dorm

You get the point. I'm not saying don't do it, just saying it's been done before and the setup thread is not 100% the picture of just the desk space.

This just opened a whole new world to me. you are amazing! i had no idea my settings was only posts from a month ago! i love this picture gallery and was hoping to see more of peoples set ups and you unlocked the door! :D

What kind of receiver is it? I see a vintage one in the background, but would like to see a better pic of it.

First shot of my desk: Macbook, paper for writing programming notes, beer, coke, wallet, cigarettes, coffee, water, keys to my car.

Second photo, full view of my corner at work on the top of a loft, from the left: My desk, book case of programming books, pool table, TV (that is never used).

doesnt really look like a nerd cave to me. looks like an apartment building wreck area. the exit sign kinda gives it away. even if it was a workplace i just dont see it. looks like a public wreck area.
