I have had a Herman Miller Aeron chair for the last 8 years. It was painfully expensive but worth every penny. Its incredibly comfortable and durable. Now they come with a 12 year warranty. LINKY

I've always been intruiged by chairs of this style, they don't look terribly comfortable, but they must be, because people rave about them. I've never enquired about price...what do they run it.

cringe factor?

My Aeron was US$900, but the price is dependent on which size you purchase, what finishes, and what features. Expect to pay between $500 and $1200.

What "features" are there? It's a chair... you sit on it... errr....? :p

The company I used to work for had them. They were really nice but I didn't realise who made them or how much they cost until I read these forums :)

Awww, I'm touched (please)

Yeah, that's me doing all the banging and hammering. I hope you're not jealous. No hard feelings right? I tried not to wake you up.

My chair? It's a piece of crap.

Nice! I have the same desk (I think), just in black.

Don't worry happens to us all. Too much to drink is normally my downfall, probably explains why you managed just 20mins too.

I have the same desk and bin, but damn the desk is crap. It's just built out of paper. I knew it was cheap but I drilled a hole in it, and it just started to fall apart... Ah well you get what you pay for I guess :).
Love the chairs though, I got a real good one right now, but hate the look maybe I'll test one of those out at IKEA and see if they are comfy enough.

Feels pretty solid to me... but then again I didn't drill it.

Hehe that could be the case yeah. I'm thinking about filling up the hole now and adding a red 'glossy' paint to the table top. Then get rid of the rest, and add some metallic legs.

But maybe it's cheaper to just buy a new desk :), I would really love a glass one but they are so expensive... Of the same series I got this drawer, and it's actually very good and a lot heavier then the table itself :)

But back on topic, we've talken enough about the desk now :p
My ugly chair :)
