I've got a 3400c that was given to me... quite a nice machine, runs 8.6 very well. Anyone know if I can add a PCMCIA USB card to it?

Well my first mac that I got september 11th of 2004 was a G3 366 MHz indigo iBook with 10GB HD,it has OS 10.3.9 and a lot of apps,maxed out the RAM at like 320 MB,I have the shadow killer so it runs pretty smooth for an old machine,I put a cd burner in it for about 100$,and an external HD that is 160GB. It was my first mac and it is what got me started into Mac's,it was my first and now I love macs. Oh yeh I also got an airport card for $80 brand new and my iBook looks bran new almost. I will get pics later.

No, you can't. Unfortunately the 3400c isn't CardBus compliant. The first PowerBook that was, was the WallStreet. I suppose you could make it compliant if you changed the card cage (if that's even possible.)

this is a fun thread! When did the PBs get the illuminated apple logos? If they got it early enough I may be tempted to find one of the ancient ones wiht an old boot chime

I belive it was around the G3 Era (Pismo,etc.) But I may be wrong.

I have a macintosh Classic, but thats it for now. (until December 3rd) I do have an Apple IIc, but thats not a mac

Well, I have a pic of my 1400c I guess I could contribute. I made a custom book cover for it to put under the plastic. Since the pic was taken the dell wireless card was replaced with an orinoco wavelan silver card. Nothing says geek more then wireless on a 10 year old laptop

Actually it was one I made in Photoshop based on an image from a photo stock CD back in 1999 (the original image had an incomplete Earth off center... I widened the image, put the Earth in the center, and built the remainder of the curvature). Attached is a version of the original image... I couldn't find a higher res version online (though there most likely is one, these were copyright free images so I would think a lot of people would have used this one).
