does anyone know when the V3i will be out in the US? or an update to the razr?

Cingular has sent promo material out to vendors, which means- according to the guy who I bought my RAZR from that all stores will have them stocked in August. I would say this sounds about right because he had a dummy model and signs up for it- he just didn't have it in stock. Technically it is out, but not in stores quite yet...

I tolerate my Palm Treo 650. It's a bit big, and uncool -- but for checking e-mail, reading RSS feeds, and storing numbers, etc... Is nice.

I really like my Treo 650. I guess if I used the phone a whole lot it would bug me, but since I rely on it more for data/pda, it's fine. Nice to only carry around the one device.

I like the V3x actually (to whoever posted it), but I don't like how they changed the hinge to a more traditional style one. I liked the V3c/V3's hinge better...it's less bulky.

It's a 3G phone, the hinge is where the video call camera is, hence the extra bulk. It's been out here for quite a while and appears much thicker than the V3. The V3i came out here sometime last month and it looks like a really nice phone.

I have the moto L6, thinner than the SLVR L7 but it lacks some of the more fancy features of the L7. Top phone though, the UI sucks but it's a good phone.

Nice, cheap little clamshell. I got the white one that complements my MacBook (and my old iBook) very well. Syncs flawlessly with iCal and Address Book using iSync over Bluetooth... :)

How does it sync with your mac?

referring to my cingular 8125 I use Mark/Space's Missing Sync and it works flawlessly, of course, all i have to sync is iCal and Address Book, i get all my email for work on the phone already.

Biggest POS ever made...I miss my Star Tac...

My mom had a Star Tac phone! Best phone she has ever had! Lasted through 6 years of abuse and finally gave up the ghost. Now she has lame ass Moto. T720 through Alltel and it's breaking. I hate it.

Do people with Blackberrys not have aching thumbs? I had to set up about 10 of them up for the execs where I work and my thumb was killing me from that scroll wheel. A week later I opt'd for a Treo 650 over a Blackberry, and I absolutely love it. The 700p came out for Sprint not too long ago... now I'm mulling over getting one.

How do you find Treo 650 comparing to Nokia's 9500.?? I have the 9300i and i was thinking to buy a treo 650.

Hi Mike.b and JackSYi

I love my treo 650, I got a Palm TX, but wanted an all in one, so got the 650...

The Treo calender is great, the alarms actually work (as opposed to windows mobile! ;-) )

I bought the missing sync for palm, and it's great, syncs flawlessly....

You get a lot of people complaining about the 650 crashing etc, but it's usually because they load a load of crap into the main 32mb memory, that causes it to screw up....

Get a big memory card, install all the junk apps you want to play with it, and it'll be great...

I've had it for a few months now, and it hasn't crashed, doesn't mess up...actually picks up a call when I answer it (as opposed to the SPV C500)

Any other specific questions I'd be happy to answer, but in a word, it's awesome!

Also....black tie edition....very nice.....

ALSO...

Direct comparisons to 9500

9500

Better keyboard
Wifi
arrogant forums, poor support
Hardly any apps
No OSX sync support (I know about the hacks...they suck...)

Treo 650

Faster
Lot more apps avaliable
friendlier forums :)
OSX sync support
Text "conversation" saving
Can update the firmware yourself

Mine, Click images to zoom... (Only 1 mobile so i listed my other stuff too)

Out & About.: Motorola V3i + 1GB Transflash Card (this replaced my shuffle)...

In & About: Vtech i5807 5.8Ghz... (awful battery life - 2 days)

VoIP & Work: 6 Line Cisco 7960G IP Phone... (i broke my 7970  )

I also had a Moto V620 before the V3i

Bye

My phone:

;)

Actually it's an iPod mockup I made for a contest. Personally I couldn't stand having such a large PDA-style phone...

I actually have one of these:

34268.jpg

A very old entry-level clamshell that gets the job done. =) I don't need any fancy features—a phone is for communication. It's too bad that I've dropped it about a thousand times... it's all scratched up and when i try to use the Forward function on a text message it freezes and I have to take the battery out to reset it

My next phone will probably be a razr... i can't bring myself to give up the iTap messaging of motorola phones—it's the best system out there

I really love your "Emergency Phone" I was trying to buy this phone for few years now in the states but no body sells them anymore (they never sold them in black ether) I only remember the silver model few years back. When I was visiting Russia couple years ago I almost got one but what kept me out of it's its price tag about $500 and I didn't belive it would work in the states. How much this phone cost you?
