Oddly enough, you're the second person to recommend that today! I will look into the feasibility of doing so, possibly with a clear transparency (inside the case) and a sharpie.

And it ain't my idea - saw it on tuaw.com a few days ago, and had to fire off a payment to jobbyroger.com for my own. Came with a cool note written in "piratenese"

Your PB is rugged, I see many fingerprints on it!

I seems to take too much care of my MBP that i always have a cloth with me to wipe my MBP whenever i have fingerprints on it

Anyways, cool skulls!

I think that looks awesome! Fingerprints would usually be bad, but I think it shows that its actually being used, plus it just adds onto the pirate look. Awesome job!

My laptop... erm... desktop.... "deskbottom"!

that's a 23" HP L2335 screen, Powerbook G4 1ghz. The grey thing next to the computer is an external hard drive case with memory card readers and USB hub. pretty neat IMO.

There have already been posts with MacBook pros in them. You didn't give them the same treatment.

haha.. so there has been one. one post where someone else also ignored the thread's title. the only other MBP that I could find was one posted alongside the guy's PB.

But anyways, I didn't say anything to them because I didn't see it.. I don't troll the threads looking for something I can nit-pick about.. you just made it obvious by posting the same set up in all three threads at once..

I love my powerbook.

Sure, I'd love the fastest, newest, shiniest MBP, but I'm very happy with my powerbook.

since I've never had anything faster to compare it to, its plenty fast enough for me.

I love my powerbook...but I'm very happy with my powerbook.

You know, me too. I'm really torn about what to get. I really like my powerbook, and other than raw power, its perfect. I could build a dual G4 or G5 and save a lot of cash instead of grabbing a new C2D 15" MBP. Even those old boxes will give me enough go for the next year or so.... ack. I'm threadjacking.

I assume the Power in Powerbook would confuse buyers who don't know the history of Apple portables (heck, even i had to look it up to be sure).

Apple Intelbook? Apple CISCbook? Apple Core 2 Duo -book? Dosnt really roll off the tongue. Personally I like Mac Book Pro, it grew on me.

Now, lets see some more powerbooks!
