when i stayed in the dorms at my school i could and did have wireless... why can't you?

I guess its a security thing.... They say it screws up the network. I don't the IT people are dumb. I don't know if it matters, but we have this thing called Perigo (for windoze only)and its software for pc that you download from the network and sign in using your ID/password, it scans your computer for virus and make sure u have the latest MS updates. Half the time it doesn't work and u can't go online, but i'm smart and have a mac so i don't have to deal with this perfigo non-sence
If i knew why we can't have wireless i would tell you.... But when i'm home, i sit on the cough in the Homer simpson postion and browse the net :p

well, i guess our situation is different then. When i was in the dorms we were responsible for providing our own highspeed network, so i guess it didn't matter. The school only provided dialup. I guess since we had to supply our own highspeed service, we could have wireless all we wanted to...

Not pictured: My mBox, and some drives. Note the classic mousepad, and the iPods sitting proudly on top.

Ya just to respond to the earlier question I did take that picture myself at the exact spot I usually go to surf at, 42nd St. at Manhattan Beach see sig. BTW I took that on the saturday that just passed. If you want any cool wallpapers let me know I dont know if its luck or good photography but I have quite a few good pics of the beach, surfing, and random flowers :D

Finally got my 17" Powerbook today! :D (well, yesterday now really; it's 4am)

I posted some initial shots in the setup page, and I really need to get some better pics, but here's a quick one I took in my actual setup, and not just opening it and the initial boot.

I'm still a bit unsure about the black MX1000 and USB2 hub, but it was the best looking hub I could find.

My desk. I don't normally have the laptop out on top, it is usually underneath on a shelf. That is my heat transfer book and homework on the right of the desk.

I found this today, hilarious.

LMAO!!! Hilarious.

Look how small the keyboard is!

It would have looked even bigger if tha 17" Studio Display wasn't back there.

Here is my PB's favorite spot :)

I love your set up. So neat, clean and organized. That is exactly what I'm looking for.

Currently my PB set up is my kitchen table because my husband uses the desk for our G4 tower and Apple Studio Display.

Soon I hope to have a pic to post up.

its the 7 port from Belkin isn't it man?
Yeah, it is. I'm not too keen on the LEDs on the front of it, but otherwise it's a great hub, and the two upright ports are useful for easy access.
