;)

Naw, nice setup, but that desk would blind me when I look at it, sorry.. :)

Lots of questions :)

Vster
What is that silver backing thing above your desk, that the CD rack is on? Where did you get it?

neut
What's the keyboard connected to the second PowerBook? The flat one? Is it a speciality keyboard or just cool?

Manzana
How much was that desk? Does it get dirty easily? Does the fact that it's frosted allow optical mice to work?

Anyone with an iCurve
Are they good? Should I buy one? Have they got a space for the power cable? How steady are they, it looks like a small knock and the PowerBook is on the floor.

AppleMatt (there's a hole burning in my pocket...)

I'm really happy with my iCurve, but in the UK they're a bit on the expensive side (I got mine in the states). I'd say it's very stable, but I guess "small knock" is relative, so I don't know if it meets your needs. Also, I've got a 12" PB on it, so I don't know about the larger ones. There's no place to route a power cord, but since that sticks out the side of your laptop anyway, I don't think that's a problem.

It's a Wacom Intuos tablet ... and that's a PowerMac G5; not a second Powerbook. ;)

I guess I should explain what's in the picture (from the left):
Behind the chair is a dual 2.5 G5 (with a MicroKorg sitting on top); 17" Formac LCD (left); 17" Apple LCD (right); behind the Formac is a 80G FW drive; on the desk is an iPod dock, an Apple Keyboard, Logitech MX500 mouse, Wacom Intuos 3 6x9 tablet, and an Edirol UC-33e usb/MIDI controller; on the top right is the 12" Powerbook; below from left is a Numark CDX, Numark usb mixer, and below to the right you can barely see part of the B&W G3 music server. :)

not pictured: 17" LCD iMac (not mine), Airport Express, Airport Extreame base station, 40G iPod photo, and 20G iPod (not mine).

it isn't quite as bright as what my camera shows up. i've been thinking about painting over it in an avocado green but taking the orange paint off seems like too much effort :)

Meep. I meant in the last picture you posted. There's a flat keyboard with an orange bit at the top, second from the right?

I think I'll buy a glass desk instead of an iCurve...I really can see myself knocking it off.

Awww, how cute, matching widgets and all :)

That's a really nice set up man, so simple and applicable for everybody, and, on the bed is the main place laptops get used :p

Where's the monitor for the dell tower?

He's probably awaiting one of those new 2405FPW monitors

Of course there is also an Appel version should you wish not to support PC brands ;)

Forgive the crappy cameraphone quality:p

Here's my setup:
T520050415124145908.jpg

-My 12' PB hooked up to a Dell 20" monitor
-Logitech MX900 BT mouse
-40GB 4G iPod
-My brand spankin' new PSP (under monitor)
-Can't see them too well, but behind my PB is a PS2 and Gamecube
-Next to my Altec Lansing 4100 speaker controller is my Jabra BT headset (it sucks, need a new one)
-picture taken with the wonderful low light abilities </sarcasm> of my Sony Ericsson K700i

hahah that's not a dell tower that's part of my speaker system, it's the big ass sub. but anyways i've got a random dell flat panel on the other side of my room i haven't decided what i'm going to do with it. maybe get a mac mini? i don't know. but paying $1,000 for a 20inch flat panel isn't justifiable, rather get the dell 24inch much more worth it.
