What kind of desk is that? I'm thinking of getting one and not sure if I want a larger one for all my Macs or just something small. But that one may look perfect.

its not my pic, lol I don't really come here all that often since i'm not really a mac guy anymore. Still come back from time to time when the stars align and Gotfrey posts some good mac video that makes my ebay finger itch to pick up a G5 quad again.

At home with the new Quicksilver (and my 1.67Ghz 17" PowerBook G4 DLSD). Desktop pictures on the QS have since changed.

Pic on the left monitor is part of my customizations of TenFourFox.

Does this count? It has a 60mhz PPC PDS card running it at the moment! I've even seen a guide on how to upgrade this card so it'll run at a whopping 100mhz!! :D:cool::D

LOL! No, no, no! :)

Any glassware, crockery, ceramic, et al. would be my wife's domain. I can appreciate glassware (I'm a compulsive saver of stuff you get in glass jars at the grocery store, not that anyone would consider that glassware I'm sure) but I'm not a collector.

Right now my wife has been avidly pursuing buffalo china. The kind of everyday china you'd find on trains and ships and stuff back in the day. That stuff was (is) bulletproof, not the typical fine china you think of when you say "china".

Counts for me! Those were cool Macs!

Making a trip to my old home for the first time in nearly a year and will definitely pick up my trusty old PowerBook G4. Missed that damn thing, if only to play EV Nova.

Although I love these old Macs, I don't really see the point of having more than one computer on a desk. Don't you need to make room for books and documents? or is that just me as a student...

I don't normally have much in the way of books or documents actually out on my desk. I have two bookcases just out of shot on the right and chest of drawers just out of shot on the left where most of that stuff goes.

These are just got messing around with more than anything. The PC is my main computer, but I've been messing around with the Mac's quite a lot recently :)

I don't know why, but the wine glass next to it seems appropriate. Fine wine maybe? :)
both are stylish!

OK, it's what works best for you that matters. :apple:
I'd be a bit concerned about those CRT-monitors. I see you have an eMac, those are relatively modern, but some folks have iMacs from around 1999, and I wonder how safe they remain after all those years, without mentioning the huge power consumption.

PPC Sandwich

Recently posted it in the "Post Your Mac Setup" thread, but it belongs here, too...

I posted in the "post your mac set up post".. but figured since I have a couple of PPCs now, Id post in here too. The 2.3 and 1.8 systems on the right are fully functional systems. The 2.5 on the left was DOA, so I turned it into a "glorified plug strip"
Got these over the course of the last week, all for less than $200, and two of them came with the original (serial # matching) boxes and packing materials and such.

The first pic is my collection from this past spring, and the second is my collection I had in the summer (iMac G5 1.6GHz, Mac mini G4 1.33GHz, B&W G3, PMG5 dual 2GHz) and of course the 2 intel macs. The third picture was taken last weekend with 3 intels and 3 PPC. As much as I love my Intel machines, the PPC ones take a spot in my heart!

My room...

Here are the PPC machines i have in my room right now and that are fully functional. I also have a few others in the attic, especially two Dual G5 machines that have a few problems at the moment and since i don't have the time to get to them, they'll have to wait until the spring.

Some of my PowerPC Macs

So firstly apologies for grainy image quality, they were taken on my 5S and not my DSLR.

First PowerPC Mac pictured is my 2002 17'' 800MHz iMac G4 currently running Mac OS X Tiger. I got this back in september for a steal of £29.99, at that price I couldn't resist. I am thinking about changing and moving my desk before christmas we shall see.

Second image is of my 2004 Dual Processor 1.8GHz Power Mac G5 running Leopard. This has a couple of 500GB hard drives, 3GB RAM and is my content storage system. I have hundreds of Gigabytes worth of rowing training videos shot from my Go Pro (some not currently required) so I use this machine to backup and store the old videos and it works extremely well for this.

The eMac has a 250GB hard drive and I keep a backup of my iTunes Library just incase :)

The funny thing about the PowerMac G5s is I used to think that at full blast, they were the noisiest desktops ever. The growl they make when you turn them on is a sorta menacing rawr.

My current desktop makes the G5 sound like a kitten purring. Still, I like the quiet vroom the g5s do when you turn them on. I wonder how the Mac Pro will sound.

That said, aesthetic wise I think the G5, the iMac G4, and the g4 cube are my favorite oldschool macs. Mmm. Looking at the Mac Pro I'm kinda glad to see they've still got it. It picked up a lot from the iMac G4. lol.
