My setup is fairly similar to last time except I've just replaced the keyboard and mouse with something a little more up to datetrouble is it looks like I have to go through and remap all the function key shortcuts.

On the far left on the drawer unit is a 14" iBook G4. 1.33GHz, 1.25GB of RAM, and a 60GB HDD, running 10.5.8.
On the BookArch is my mid-2010 Macbook Pro. 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo, 4GB of RAM, 500GB HDD, running 10.6.8.
My eMac I just recently got for free. It was being recycled from my high school. A friend who is working tech there for the summer hooked me up with two. The other one is downstairs in the basement. It's a 2005 eMac with 1.42GHz G4, 2GB of RAM (I just got in contact with 5 sticks of 1GB modules that fit the eMac for FREE!), 160GB HDD, running 10.5.8
On top is my iMac G4 which is just on display since there is no where to put it currently. The iMac has a 1GHz G4, 1.25GB of RAM (hope to bump that up to 2GB soon once I get some thermal paste), 80GB HDD, running 10.5.8.
I am not aware of any hardware changes to the keyboards aside from the F3 and F4 keys being updated to be more appropriate for 10.7+.
Unfortunately no - tried it but it reports that a newer version of the software already exists on the volume - I presume from one of the Leopard updates. An Apple forum post states that this is only supported out of the box by 10.6 onwards so I guess I'm on key re-mapping duty tonight after all but thanks anyway, looked hopeful.
UPDATE: - Anyone with a similar problem (new Aluminium wired keyboard with Number Pad on unsupported hardware) I found 'Spark' (http://www.shadowlab.org/Software/spark.php) which allows you to map the Function keys to what they should be
Works perfectly and now my keyboard is all A-OK with the exception that screen brightness is controlled with F14/15 instead of F1/2 as printed on the keyboard (as screen brightness is not an available System Key Map in Spark) but iTunes keys, volume control all working good - Even set up the F4 key to open Bevy

I know that the Aluminum Keyboard used to be supported on Tiger 10.4.10. I know because I have one that works completely without issues with 10.5.8. I guess that when they updated the keyboard to offer Mission Control and Launchpad keys they did something to make it incompatible with older versions.
Yes, there's more than one aluminum keyboard it seems - this one is officially only supported from 10.6 - still at least there is a fix so I'm very happy.
Glad it worked out. That is the download I used to get my older keyboard from 2010 working so I figured you should give it a shot.
weird, I used a alu keyboard (with keybpad) (box stated 10.6 onwards) with leopard on my (then) quad. worked fine, didn't need any extra drivers...

The current setup - Power Mac G5 and Studio Display. Freshly Rebuilt.

2x 2.0GHz PowerPC 970FXs, 5GB DDR400 RAM, 750GB HDD, GeForce FX 5200 Ultra.
The Logic Board failed, so out came the old Dual 1.8GHz board and in went a Dual 2.0GHz board and processor set from a liquid damaged donor machine. The entire machine was stripped down and cleaned, including inside the power supply. I discarded the old U3 heatsink and installed a larger twin-pipe version with machine bolts and springs in place of the old plastic pins. Arctic Silver went on all of the major ICs. It runs like a dream.
The 17-inch Studio Display has been cleaned inside and out, has a brand new backlight inverter board and two new CCFL backlights.
What a beautiful system and better than it ever was stock. Nice job!
