Everyone has a dream car, wether it be a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa or a Shelby Daytona Coupe, or a Bugatti Veyron Grand Vitesse or a Lamborghini Aventador J.

However, these are highly unrealistic and lofty goals that only the elite or the elite would be able to reach, but that doesn't mean there's a more affordable dream car (or dream cars) right?

By realistic, I mean something that if you worked towards enough, you could potentially get. This probably wont be any one-offs or limited production car (unless you're already rich enough to do that now), but that doesn't mean it cant be a fun sporty car. A realistic dream car probably wouldn't be, say, a Porsche 918 Spyder ($900k) or the upcoming Ferrari F150, but that doesn't mean say a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG (200k) or a Lamborghini Gallardo would be out of the question, since those are more realistically obtainable.

So how about it? What's a dream car that you could potentially get in your lifetime?

For me, I'd have to pick either the all-new 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLA Class (Preferably an AMG version, once they make it!)

Of course, I'd also be very pleased with a Mini Roadster!

So, lets have at it!

The words "realistic" and "dream" don't exactly work that well together... :D

But I'd greatly enjoy a Miata. :)

You have good taste! Also my realistic dream car at the moment.

Haha thanks! I think of it like the first iPhone. It's a fundamental shift in car technology. The all glass sunroof that can be dimmed. The driver profiles. The door handles that suck inward when not in use. The entertainment panel. Not to mention, ALL ELECTRIC! And has a range of up to 300+ miles. It's the car, re-engineered from ground up! It's also not Bugatti expensive, a fully loaded Model S is around 100K.

In a few years, I will probably look for a clean example of a 997 C2S to replace my 3 series as my long term toy.

Sarcasmville.
My list in order of cost:

Golf GTD or Golf R (45k or 60k)
335i Coupe ($120k)
M3 (180k)
Black Range Rover Sport Supercharged V8 (or the TDV8) ($210k)
911 Turbo S ($450k)

Those are Australian dollars in rough drive away price (insert complaint about car prices here), so I think I'll stop at the Porsche, it's approaching Ferrari prices. Also, all of the above in dark grey (not black).

Hopefully I can afford a Gran Turismo someday. Ferrari sound without the Ferrari price. :D

I'd stay away man........I know plenty of people who have a Mas and all of them hate it besides 1.........they are not reliable at all, even under warranty its a pain to keep having to take it back to the dealership to get fixed.

Have fun when your electronic suspension gives out on the Range and you can't go over 30mph on the highway :D Happened to me and many others I know!

But I'd greatly enjoy a Miata. :)

I've bought a Miata (aka MX-5 over here) last August, and so far I loved every single moment driving it. I go topless whenever it doesn't rain, including wintertime at minus 5°C or even less. A true driver's car = F.U.N !
