How do you like the Korg Zero 8? Do you do any DAW work with it or just DJing? What DJ programs do you use?
Im thinking of getting a Zero 8 and passing off my NI Audio 8 DJ to my brother.

hey quick questions for all the audio guru's out there. I got a macbook pro and a behringer xenyx 502 mixer for my mic's and amp and all that jazz. Im moving to residence in september and wont have room for my amp and everything, so im looking for some cheap monitors. Im going to school for film and am a video editor, so having good sound is very important to me. I was looking at the M-audio AV20's along with the Behringer ms16. Now, ive only been looking at them because they are cheap ( and i dont know many other audio brands ahah). I just want to check out all my options.
So basically, to get to the point. Small, cheap ($150-) and good quality monitors/speakers for a video editor? Any Suggestions.
And if you want, i'll take this question to its own topic. I wouldnt want to take over your thread!
Yah those are wicked headphones. Butttttt, i want speakers.. I cant stand using headphones on my computer. Dont ask. Drives me NUTSForget the monitors and invest in Beats Headphones by Dr. Dre. They put my Sennheisers to shame. A lot of producers mix strictly on headphones.
Thought I would post my setup
Above is an over view of the studio, the Mixer is homemade, styled on the Gates Studioette (I have an obsession with old Gates equipment). However inside hides 'modern' electronics.
Above is a close up of the desk, good old vintage vu. I find these rotary style mixers just easier to operate, nice and clunky.
Close up of the insides - the whole mixer took just over 3 months to build. Was a great project that was truely rewarding.
Although the studio is stereo I use a Mono valve monitoring amp. This again is homemade and uses a simple valve line up - 2 12AX7, 2 EL84 and a EZ81. This amp sounds amazing, and was relatively cheap to build.
Close up of the filaments glowing late one night.
That is freaking cool. How does it sound?

Looks good but all those cables would drive me absolutely crazy! How do you cope??
Here we go.
What's the brand of the piano? And what's your daily job btw?
It's a bosendorfer. And I'm an engineer there.
Nice room dude!
I love a studio with unrestricted sightlines to the live room, how's your isolation?
