Why are you so anal? It isn't like the couple degree variation you get per refresh is that big of a deal.

So if you want a range just ± 2ºC at the end of each temp.

Is 2500 RPM loud

For those of us who don't have one in front of us, is 2,500 RPM semi-loud, inaudible, a whisper or something else?

Is 5000 RPM an intolerable roar or something else?

Yeah, I couldn't hear it at home and all the fans and clicking of machines and stuff at work are way louder. It is quieter than a Wii if you want a comparison.

Mine is anywhere from 5500-6200 rpm. Is this bad? I have it on AC power and the readings say exhaust not left fan right fan. Anyone have any idea why its like this? I thought there was suppose to be near no heat where you can keep it on your lap. This thing is hot.

My fan's running at 6200 RPM, its labeled exhaust...

The CPU is at 53.

I don't know how people keep claiming this things quiet, I can hear the fan in the next room humming.

I was copying files from a thumb drive to my hard drive.

Are you finding hot on the bottom? My fans never seem to ramp up. Always about 2500 and temps between 45-50.

The left fan right fan is because it was from a macbook pro.

I don't think my fans have ramped up at all since I bought it. Right now my fan speed is at 2502, temp at 47. I wonder if the HDD model gets warmer.

Mine has consistently been around 2500rpm, inaudible, mostly browsing, word processing and other light duties, like Bento, Splash ID, Kitty Spangles Solitaire. :)

Yeah, what are you doing to cause it to ramp up to 6500 rpm?
Nothing literally. I was browsing the web and I dont have alot of programs running. It was part of the reason I got it because I was able to put it on my lap. Its as hot as my Macbook if not hotter.

Also it was happening today at work and it was on a chilly desk and it was running at 6200 rpm. I hope this is something they can fix with software. :(
