Southampton apple store has them too. I didn't get one, had a play, it's very nice.

I called the southampton store this morning and they said they didn't have any and didn't know when they would be getting any (of the 16GB ones anyway) did they have them in stock as well as on display or just some display models?

Ordered from Comet on friday, it arrived this morning, it is a week 37 and it has got the screen problem also so i'll just keep it until my apple order (week 38 hopefully) arrives later this week and then send it back

It is a really lovely device though, the screen problem doesn't seem so severe on it at all at the moment only slightly affecting some darker videos, but i'm sure that i'll probably notice a big difference against a week 38.

I have a 16GB coming from Comet today also - I guess I'll be straight on the phone to apple uk if it's exhibiting the same issues as yours!

Was yours an 8 or 16 by the way? 16 I'm guessing.

No.

No. Comet is a company on its own. Currys, Currys.digital, PC World and The Link are all part of the same company - DSG Retail. Don't expect stock from them until 1st Oct at the earliest.

They had the display models, and a sign next to them with "iPod touch take yours home today", I luckily managed to get a play, as the AppleStore staff seemed to pretty much only push that model onto 'customers' (I guess because of the price tag).

It is very nice though, didn't look like it had any screen issues either..
