Decided to upgrade my setup a bit, since I'm not going the Hackintosh route anymore. Windows 10 looks promising and I still have a Retina 13" MacBook Pro for my OS X needs. ;)

Very nice mech. What switches are you using? I been using a Filco TKL with cherry mx blues for the last 5 years, and still love it as much as when I first bought it. I want to update my keycaps with PBT'e, but will cost me the same as a new mech keyboard.

I have no issues with Windows 8.1, and I like it a lot better than windows 7... but I can't wait for windows 10.

I chose the MX Blue switches, I just love the clicky sound! Are your keycaps worn out after 5 years?

@GrumpyGeek:
I love it! I came from a 23" 1080p monitor and the 2560x1440 resolution on 25" is just MUCH better. Sharper and more workspace. I game on it. It's a 60Hz monitor so nothing special really, but it's fast enough for serious gaming in my opinion. My previous monitor gave me headaches because of the blurring.

I love clickity clack switches... LOL. No, they are aren't worn... maybe developed a shine over the years, but still looks great. I like the feel of PBT keycaps... and they don't develop that shine... but what I really want is to change my keycap colors to look like the old school IBM keyboards.

Quantex!!! My first PC, as an adult, was done by Quantex... that was the 1997 PC for me. Before that, I had an Atari 130XE lol. That was from '86 to '92.

Currently in transition. New desk, new rig about halfway done. Still waiting on a GPU, some new speakers, a nice set of headphones, and a desktop mic.
