I took all of these last year. It still hasn't snowed this year in Massachusetts. At least where I am in MA.

well, it's from november 22nd. this was the first snow this season, that's all there was.
plus, it hasn't snowed since then, but it's windy and cold.

it was all gone the next day.

and the effect of water and wind...

Love this shot, very sharp. Your niagra shots are really nice as well.
Also like the shots above me, very natural and lots of contrast.

I have to take more christmas shots this year, i wonder if ill have time. I would love to get a small diffuser to take some nice indoor shots, that way I can throw a little light, but not drown it with flash-like light, since the ambiance is best with the gentle glow of light.

I posted this last year, but here it is again, a fun abstract shot

For the land with no snow, winter is marked by really only one thing.

BIG WAVES on the North Shore.

So with that in mind, here's a shot from today. About 15-20 foot surf, not quite the 30 ft the weather report predicted but impressive anyways.

It snowed today! Here's my contribution.
I know, I know. Composition is bad, and the quality sucks. Buy hey I was at work, and I didn't have my D80 with me. I was using my cell phone, but so what, it freakin SNOWED in NEW ORLEANS! Last time it snowed was Dec 2004.

Photos from the Arctic - a week of dog sledding. It was cold... -30 degrees C. That's about -22 degrees F for those on the imperial system.

Here are my Beverly Hills winter photos (taken with my iPhone). This is Rodeo Drive. Those glass boxes house chandeliers.

I don't miss the snow.

Winter in southern california looks pretty much the same as summer at least in photos. I wish we had seasons.

In nor-cal we have seasons, wet and dry;)
Sometimes we get it for a short time, otherwise we can go to Tahoe!

Winter arrived in Monterey this week. Both photos taken from ~sea level plus 150ft or so. those hills are probably 800-900 ft and just a few miles from the ocean. It was 75oF a week ago.
