Lamy 2000 Fountain Pen with fine nib, but I might get it changed to a medium. (Plus I have a few safaris, and a pilot vanishing point)

I suspected I would see more fountain pens here than in the wider population.

Here's the team, redundancy, redundancy. (I lose pens a lot)

I think the Pentel .7mm Energel is my favorite of the group, with the non-needle-point version of the Uniball Signo 207 a close second. The G2 just seems scratchier and less consistent, as do all the needle-point versions. The .5mm needle-point Energel is nice for tiny forms though, like the deposit slips at my bank.

I see a few Lamy pens here. These things are very nice. Here's my Lamy Studio Palladium fountain pen.

Fav pen of all time. Here goes hoping this works.

(edit- taken via iphone4 and finally figured out how to upload it. If I could fig. out how to scale it down a little it would be great.)
(edit 2- Guess it didn't work as well as I wanted. Try number 2.)

Finally I have arrived.....
A few additional fountain pens

Here are an Aurora Optima Demonstrator, a Pelikan 205 Blue Demonstrator (whose nib was replaced with a gold nib adjusted by the nib meister Richard Binder), a Sailor Profit Realo.

I use a medium nib Parker Frontier (Gold trim) at work, and an all stainless steel fine nib Parker Frontier at home.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I am graduating from University and my parents are going to buy me a nice pen as a graduation gift.

I will more than likely use it everyday when I soon become a High School teacher.

However, I don't know anything about pens. I think they're going to spend up to £100 / $150.

What would you recommend and why? BTW, I'm left handed.

P.S. I always use Pentel Energel pens. You wouldn't believe how many customers compliment my pen at work.

They're about £1.50 each.

I won a pen prize from one of the web shops I frequent and purchase. I already have a few Lamys and this is a welcome addition to my pen collections.

These are what I use, too! I won't use any pen besides them.
I have all the colors, but usually stick to black and blue.

Heh, 2 to 3 bucks each.

Most of the pens I have been buying lately are between 100 and 400.

Looking at getting one of these next.

Made out of lava from Mt Etna, with a palladium nib.

Pentel R.S.V.P. I love these pens, I use them for everything I do. :) I found one in a hallway at school once, and immediately began to use it exclusively for all my schoolwork/poems/comics/stories. Now I've got boxes of them stored away, just in case I can't find them anymore.

This is quite possibly the greatest 'standard' pen ever created! Fantastic for flip ability. :D
