Whoops, forgot about this thread for a few days..

Websites laden with pictures, or Java applets, or large tables, for one. Yes, it could be a bandwidth issue, but I also run PC's in my home on the same connection and some sites just seem to load slower in Safari. There must be a reason why everyone says "Safari feels snappier" at every OS X update :D

Admittedly it's one of those things I never really noticed until I started being forced to use Windows (and IE) again, and I realized that, for example, my internet banking website loads faster than it does in Safari.

Just to note-

Amazon has reduced the superdrive Powerbook 12-inch even more:

It is now $1299. After rebate, $1150! Now that is a pretty good deal.

Can you link this? I don't see this price on amazon.

Wow, thats pretty awesome. Just under £700 or so. I'm starting to consider selling my 12" iBook on ebay and investing in the Powerbook, I could really do with the superdrive, and the extra vram for my second display and having the ability to use it in clamshell mode could well make me wet my pants :D

Now I just have to figure out how much I could get for a less than 1 year old, great condition 12" iBook G4 1.2GHz, 60GB, 768MB. Any ideas anyone?

Crap! I looked at Amazon this morning, and I could have gotten the Powerbook for $1150. I was planning on ordering after I got home from work....when I got online, it was back to the normal price!

Wow. I checked before my last post, and it was still the $1150 after rebate. It must have just gone back up. Must have been a mistake.

I guess $1,299 still isn't bad for the superdrive 12" powerbook. You do get a larger HD with the superdrive model as well compared to the combo drive.

Powerbook 12

I have a brand new 12" Al Powerbook, 1.5GHz, combo drive, 768MB Ram, thats still in the box and sealed and I am looking to get rid of it. Let me know if anyone in this forum might be interested in buying it. I literally just got it in the mail a week ago. Its a replacement for the total POS RevA 867mhz 12" that I bought that had more problems than I could count. Apple finally admitted that the notebook I had was indeed a POS and needed to be replaced.

Oh, it's a great price. But in comparison to the $1150, I'm a bit bummed.
