One beep indicates there’s some issue with the ram - that it’s not detected. I’d try reseating the ram. Make sure it’s installed in the correct order in pairs. If that doesn’t work, try just one pair of known good ram.
Here’s a quick description how the order goes if you need it.
Good luck.
Thank you for the tip.
Did that. The beep disappeared.
Still doesn’t boot.
Tried:
Reset smu with cable plugged in. No change
Reset smu without cable plugged in. No change
While searching for this issue I found the following commands to be done in OF:
Reset nvram: code gives ok
Set-defaults: code gives ok
reset-all: computer freezes
Also, I didn’t mentioned but in of it appears me usb errors
And while booting sorbet leopard hdd in verbose mode it halts at
DART enabled
OSX leopard dvd doesn’t boot also. Both from internal dvd drive nor FireWire one (which boots ASD).
ASD OS Also can’t boot.
Right now from what I already read it leaves me the following options:
-Pram battery: mine is dead. Will try to get a new one
- logic board issue (capacitors?ram slots?)
-power supply capacitors (I found some threads talking about it).
Truly bizarre it passes ASD test.
If anyone has more precise hints let me know
