http://www.gottabemobile.com/2014/10/09/htc-one-m8-android-4-4-4-kitkat-update-starts-rolling-out/

Popular Android developer Paul O’Brien recently confirmed from one of his sources that the Nexus 6 (also rumored to be called the Nexus X) will be available for under £450 in his region. A quick conversion and that has it coming in around $750 US dollars, which is obviously wrong.

It’s worth noting the Nexus 5 is £299 from the Google Play Store in the UK, and many UK retailers were asking £399 for it when it was first released, as they have quite the markup and pricing is different by region. This suggests that the phone could be upwards of £100 or more than last years model, which makes sense given the bigger HD display, front facing speakers, improved camera and bigger battery. This means we could be looking at a $449 and $499 Nexus 6 in the US, compared to the $349 and $399 starting price of the current Nexus 5.

So what will that get you? Here’s the specs based on rumors and reports received thus far.

Nexus 6 (Rumored)

5.92-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD Display
2.7 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM
32GB internal storage
Android 5.0 “L Release” (64-bit support)
13 Megapixel camera with OIS, 2.1 front camera
Ring Flash similar to Moto X
Front Facing Speaker (bottom, look close)
Aluminum frame around device like the new Moto X 2014
3,200 mAh battery

One thing to keep in mind is that the Nexus 5 cost more buying it from carriers last year than buying it from Google. I expect the same to be the case this year.

My guess is $499 from Google and much more from Verizon.

maybe they will get rid of the 16GB base model and start with 32GB

16GB Nexus 5 = $349
32GB Nexus 5 = $399

vs
32GB Nexus 6 = $449
64GB Nexus 6 = $499

they can justify the $100 more (base model) because of these reasons.

- bigger storage (32GB vs 16GB)
- bigger screen
- higher resolution
- better camera
- bigger battery

or it is just $50 more (32GB vs 32GB)

for

- bigger screen
- higher resolution
- better camera
- bigger battery

"Indian import/export Zauba recently listed two “Shamu phones (prototype)” with model number Motorola XT1112 arrived India on August 20. The devices were shipped from the U.S. and have a declared value of 34,982 Indian rupees ($578) each. Note that the price listing is a declared value, which may not accurately reflect the actual market price."

But everyone should still manage their expectations for a "cheap" Nexus

There was a leaked price at Best Buy for $500, I think. I wouldn't mind paying $450 for a Nexus 6, but I really hope it's not a whale sized of a phone.

Never understood the idea about a 64 Bit support on Android L being a highlight for the Nexus 6 itself. If it had a 810 processor, that's a different story.

I want it to be $399 base price.

Probably looking at $499 16GB base price, $549 32GB at the cheapest.

Going to be a tough sell in the USA at those prices.

Isn't there only going to be a 32gb at $650 and then a 64gb??

Nah, it will be available with subsidies like the iPhone is, so the on contract price will be far cheaper.
