Alright, so I got my itouch a couple years ago, with the 3.1.2 firmware, and i jailbroke it shortly after getting it, and to avoid having to re-jailbreak it, it's been on 3.1.2 the entire time. Well, recently i decided to just get rid of the jailbreak all together and update to the newest firmware.
The problem: My itouch is currently useless. It won't work unless it is restored first, and it won't restore unless it updates the firmware first. Now, that wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that after i wait 73 minutes for the new software to download, itunes tells me that the new firmware cannot be installed. I don't know what to do, and I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem and could help me out?
