Pricing on iPhone 15 Pro Models Technically Didn't Change

Not only did prices go up in Australia, but the jump in price was higher for the storage upgrades.
15 Pro:
128GB $1850 ($+100)
256GB $2050 ($+150)
512GB $2400 ($+150)
1TB $2750 ($+150)
Our currency dropped 4.5% against the USD since the same time last year.
The 128GB 15 Pro increased price by 5.7%.
The 256GB 15 Pro increased price by 7.9%.

Since I'm a Pro Max User this changes literally nothing for me, However, I hope they keep the same pricing for next year for when I do upgrade.
In India, price increased by about $120 for the 256 GB 15 Pro Max compared to 256 GB 14 Pro Max.
Very high import duty is leading to such high prices.

Given the massive decreases in the cost of memory in the last year, maintaining prices on same memory sizes isn’t doing us any favours.
Just look at M.2 drives and nvm drives - a SN850 or 980 pro etc are less than half their cost this time last year.
So it certainly didn’t get any better for us, if we are paying the same now for a 256Gb product as we did last year.
And usb 2.0 speeds on the USB-C, to differentiate the pro and standard is just wild to me.
iPhone is still the best you can get in my eyes but gonna need something exciting and some real valuable addition to upgrade mine. Admittedly my phone is still as cutting edge as I need (13PM) however it’s more of a great software thing than it is cutting edge tech (Bluetooth 5.3, wifi 6E/7 etc)

My best guess is that the smaller Pro didn't see the 128GB version dropped solely because the triple digits price tag allows them to keep "From $999" in their ads and the bottom line likely is that they get more interested customers in the door that way. Apple would have raised that model to starting at $1099 if they thought it would be better for the bottom line long-term.
One big reason why Apple can consistently sell their Pro models at these prices is the lack of alternative devices that can match the advertising and popularity as well as the build quality and impressions of good support (even though in reality these devices are made to only be repairable by Apple). Customers spending $999+ on an iPhone Pro know that they're receiving what's likely the best smartphone ever made and if there are any troubles they can walk into the next Apple Store and speak to a real human about it, even if it's a minimum wage worker.
Apple clearly isn't without fault and my main device is actually a Pixel, but with Google deceptively downgrading displays for much worse ones after reviews are out (Pixel 6), and the ******** that's many of the other manufacturers (good riddance LG) at this point honestly I'd rather try my luck with Apple.

My Wifi is a Wifi 6 since 2019 and now 4 years later the Mac and iPad are still the only devices I have that even support that. Most households still don't have a Wifi 6 capable AP in the first place and use whatever trash their ISP hands out. So the network bands aren't saturated at all.

I have to say, with all the gouging and price increases going on, I have to commend Apple for holding their pricing. Was not expecting that!
I wonder where all the "greedy" Apple commenters are. With rumored price increases, many of the comments on the posts were "Apple is greedy!". Are those same "people" (bots?) now going to say "Apple isn't greedy!"?
Not to mention this is moving Apple’s well established goal posts for pricing. For decades upgrades are expected in newer devices and setting the precedent of raising prices for more storage in base models (when their storage is already super overpriced for what you get) is not praiseworthy and is, by Apple’s previously stated standards, a change in pricing.
Can it do ProRes 4K on the device or is it external only? Apple really doesn't say other than on external device for both the ProMax and Pro which would make sense since the 15 Pro using External would have more storage space that way.
The 128 Pro14 ProRes was only 1080P30 if I remember correctly and you had to have 256 to do 4K30 on the device
