Good! So far, you seem to be enjoying it! I told you it was a steal for $120! Yeah, Emui is basically an iOS version of Android. MM fixes a lot of those annoying bugs in LP.So far, the Honor 5X is not bad. Not bad at all. Fingerprint scanner is amazingly reliable and fast. Device is solidly built, too. The gold is quite nice.
The MM update isn't coming through, though. I'll keep trying. But so far, the software is interesting, too. A lot of Huawei's software tweaks are nifty -- my favorite one being sliding along the nav bar to shrink to one-handed mode. Then slide back to push it back to full screen. Could be really useful for a large device. The software is also very iOS-y looking/feeling. With apps in paginated form (instead of a drawer) and the two-pane notification panel. All the transparency effects, too. It is a bit buggy -- minor hiccups here and there, but I'm hoping that's due to apps updating, the phone still being set up, etc.
The camera is okay. It'll suffice. Low-light sort of sucks, but in regular light, it's not bad at all (I think in this area, the MX is slightly better).
I'm hoping MM will squash all the little bugs. Still exploring, but so far, mightily impressed by this $120 dollar phone, so unless I discover a deal-breaker (still gotta test call quality, more of the camera, and other things...), the Moto X is likely going back.
PS. I've been trying to "Check for Updates..." in the settings but to no avail. MM is def. out for US Honor 5X?
It's funny that you mention the update...I just got the gold one from Amazon today (ordered it on Prime Day--I'm in the US) and I checked for updates and had two of them. The first one was an update for Lollipop and the second one was 1.28GB (which was Marshmallow). In your case, you may have to manually update it this way:
