Is this a joke?

Claims Steve Jobs passed on virtualisation secrets

A man banged up in the Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario, Oregon, is suing the Intel Corporation for $5 billion.

Matthew Robert Young claimed he invented technology later included in Intel's Core 2 Duo Virtualized Technology and that he disclosed the secrets to Apple's Steve Jobs, who passed on the information to the chip giant. Steve Jobs is the third party defendant said Young, in the case filed at the end of last year, but should be cited by Intel as a co-defendant, he alleges.

Young says he is the only person in the world at present who knows how to make both the Core 2 Duo microprocessor and virtual technology work, and wants to show how it works in a demo in the Oregon district court.

The plaintiff invokes the Lord God of Host, citing Romans chapter three, verses 19-20.

Young claims that he sent a copy of the designs and schematics of his intellectual property, which includes multiphase microprocessors which are hacker proof and virus prooft to Steve Jobs. Young codenames this technology Lancelot.

He said that he asked Steve Jobs to help him bring the tech to market for $250 million dollars, but never received a reply from him.

In June 2006, said Young, there was a photo of senior vice president Pat Gelsinger in the Oregonian paper holding in his left hand a mother board which incorporated Virtual Technology.

In 2006, Young sent a letter to Intel which read: "Dear Intel Corporation; Does look familiar? Well it should. It is the Hacker Proof, Virus Proof Computer that I invented, which I call Lancelot. I showed it to Steve Jobs at Apple Computer and asked him for two hundred and fifty million dollars, he took it to you at Intel, and you built it but you do not know how to turn it on.

"So here is what you are going to do. You are going to agree to pay me seventy percent (70%) every thing that you gross off of it, and then I will tell you how to turn it on and make it do what I designed it to do.

"You have 30 days to respond, on bonded paper, with your signature written in blue ink, or I am going to send copies of my schematics to AMD and tell them how it works for next to nothing."

Sir Lancelot Young made a motherboard that viruses don't like and capable of virtualisation and showed it to the round table of Apple at infinite loop. Inifinite loop threw it in a lake because they weren't interested which shattered Sir Lancelot Young and he send himself into exile. But the lady in the lake gave the motherboard to Sir Otellini of Intel who produced it on mass, sold it back to the knights of Apple of infinite who in turn made a profit and built up an entire kingdom! Sir Young returned from exile and challenged the kings of the Intel and Apple kingdoms for what he perceives as his rightful throne and to be continued......

OMG this is hysterical.

c) pro se plaintiff, further request that this United States District Court Order that Intel Corporation bring in it's best and brightest engineers, Before this Court under the same sealed Hearing conditions as pro se plaintiff is Brought, and have anyone of them, or anyone in the world, who Intel corporation can find who can Demonstrate for this District Court, the Actual Application of how the [Virtual Technology or Core 2 - DUO] actually works, if they (can) then as stated above, under the federal laws governing civil actions pro se plaintiff (shall be), if he fails to Demonstrate his trade secret, be held liable to the defendant(s) for Ten Thousand Dollars [$10,000.00] and to this requirement pro se plaintiff is two hundred percent (200%) in agreement with this. HOWEVER when Intel Corporation FAILS to give a Demonstration, pro se plaintiff DEMANDS just compensation of Five Billion dollars [$5,000,000,000.00] and any and all Patents, copyrights, Trademarks, Monies, Money Contrasts, Transactions, Records and all Documentation, Agreements, Trades, Stocks, Bonds, and any other business conducted or engaged in concerning the [Core 2 - DUO, and Virtual Technology] and ALL MONEY PROFITS made received and profited there form, once pro se plaintiff demonstrates for this United States District Court the fact ofhis Ownership as the Original Inventor of these Technological commercially valuable products.

b) Intel corporation has publicly Announced that Intel Corporation rolled out the first dual-core microprocessor in the latter part of2005, and in that same Public Announcement, stated that Intel Corporation is seeking HELP from universities and programmers, to HELP Intel Corporation [SOLVE the multithreading] problems that Intel cooks up. See Attached Exhibit Marked PRO SE PL. EX. 3 .This is in fact an explicit PLEA from Intel Corporation albeit an implicit PLEA by Intel Corporation for anyone to HELP Intel Corporation try to figure out how to make this Technology work.

Here's why I think it could possibly be true. He's made a pretty big threat in that letter. If it's a bluff, he may have ruined his life. Also he made a pretty big claim, that they "do not know how to turn it on."

Here's why I think it's probably false. First, he's only suing for 5 billion. If he can prove that he invented the chips, he could sue for LOADS more.
Second, according to the thread title he was in prison. It's not very often that someone who has the ability to supposedly invent such great chips is also the type to go to prison.
Third, he didn't ask very much from steve.
Finally, the evidence presented is from 2006. With the information given, it sure took him awhile to get around to suing them.

Wow. I just started loling all over the place!
This doesn't seem real. And I much prefer him to give it to AMD.

Sure, the guy's insane.

Hahaha, already done that. He's in PRISON!

Also, just so everyone understands the Romans bit. It reads:
19 Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. 20 For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. (ESV)
I'm guessing the important bit is "through the law comes knowledge of sin."

ok lets be serious for a moment though. Depending on what he did, it still can't be as life ruining as getting called on this potential bluff.

Um, k.

If he does prove and Intel doesn't I will certainly left with my mouth literally to the ground and then after a minute of awe I will roll on the ground laughing how Intel lost it. BTW, I will be very very surprised.

If he does go to AMD, I will be even more glad. That will force Intel to roll out even more aggressive technologies.

Instead of sending his idea to Steve Jobs he should have sent it to the US Patent Office and obtained a patent. Surely a man of his intellect would know that. Even if his story was true (I don't believe it is) he doesn't have a legal right to stand on. Where is his proof of concept?

Pretty standard stuff from most long-term prisoners. They're commonly entitled to file suits at no charge, and commonly paper the system with these pro se suits. But you have to admire his chutzpa. Most prisoner filings are low-rent, imagination-less affairs. At least this guy did Think Different. ;)
