As of yesterday, I've now joined this unfortunate club. Very bizarre.

Edit to add: definitely account related. As mentioned by others, logged out and search works fine. Logged back in and problem returns.

Edit 2: Just noticing that this issue is happening across all my devices. So this is definitely a weird account related issue. Hope Apple knows about this issue.

Same problem here across all iOS devices. Co-worker next to me doesn't have this problem.

For anyone having issues with this I was on the phone with Apple and nothing worked. Right before they moved me further up the support chain they asked me to restore and setup as new (don't restore from backup).

Problem solved with both my iPhone and iPad... Very strange.

You had to restore both devices, or restoring one fixed the other?

I loathe restoring.

Edit to add: I question if that is a true fix or only temporary one. This issue came out of nowhere. It sure seems data related, especially since it happens on all devices on same store account. Apple should be fixing this, not expecting us to wipe out phones.

Glad I'm not the only one experieincing this issue.

I can still get app updates but get the same error message when I search for an app.

My workaround is searching for the direct app link in safari and it takes me directly to the app.

Seems to be an issue directly with the search layer.

Restored my iPad first and it worked but was still broken on my phone. Restored the phone which also fixed it. I hope it doesn't come back  Restoring is such a headache with downloading, organizing and setting up all my apps.

My devices just randomly started working again. It most likely was an isolated problem on Apple's side.
