Unfortunately this bug is not fixed for me on iOS 15.2. I was hoping this would be addressed.

Same problem here while airplaying to Denon Home speakers over Airplay 2. Latest iOS on iPhone 13. Volume keeps going to zero except when I use side buttons. Slider is still broken.

iDem here , iOS 15.1 iphone 13 pro Max,
sonos and HomePod, same bug
Volume keeps crazy at zero
using Spotify , Apple Music, tidal, Qobuz ..

I've called Apple this morning , they are not aware of this problem , but I found a couple of other case on Reddit....weird.
I logged it as a defect when iOS 15 was in beta but as usual they ignore every bug I log. It drives me insane though.

Yeah this is really f***ing annoying!

Bizarrely it doesn't do it on the slider within the music app when the phone is unlocked. IT's only from the Lock Screen that you the slider doesn't work accurately.

It happens on my iPhone whether it's lock screen or "in app", in the exact same manner

This bug appeared for me after updating my iphone XR from ios 14.8 to ios 15.2. And is still there in ios 15.3.

I've got a number of Airport Expresses that can do Airplay 2 and a couple of Ikea Sonos speakers also Airplay 2 compatible.

The volume slider doesn't work properly in the music app or on the home screen, it jumps to nothing when slid to the left and then will only play volume again when slid 3/4 of the way to the right which means the volume comes back quite loud.

The swipe down control center volume controls work fine though so this is the work around I'm using at the moment.

It's very annoying.

Send a feedback to Apple. That's all we can do.
Maybe 15.4 fixes it. Any testers of the beta here?

I also have this problem and it’s driving me mad. Happens on HomePod as well a Sonos speakers. Still not working in 15.3. Filed a bug report ages ago, but as always nothing happens ?

It is very annoying. I have a wlan access point where my speakers are plugged in (airplay 2). The problem appears only on the Iphone (13 pro, iOS 15.3 in my case), if I use my IPad Pro (latest 12,9”, iPadOS 15.3) things work fine. Proves basically that Apple has split the dev teams between iOS and iPadOS ;)

I just tried to recreate this for 30 minutes, from various apps unlocked and on the lock screen to Sonos, HomePod and Airport Express connected to hifi.

Major variable being I'm using an iPhone 11 PM.

Yes it's still there and at this point I guess Apple doesn't care and that won't be fixed anytime soon...
Just get used to it or use another streaming service , as I said earlier Spotify connect is very reliable and without all the bugs AM has so why not give it a try....

It's funny how they fixed it on 15.4 beta 1 and yet it's still broken on 15.4 final release

15.5 RC , problem still there for those interested….
Try clicking the volume down till it goes to zero and then you should be able to increase the volume normally. It’s a weird bug that’s been happening with my HomePods too but that’s the workaround for me.

having this issue with apple tv volume keeps lowering won’t let you control without a restart
