Possible Reason iCaughtU might not work...

If you downloaded an unoffical version of iCaughtU, i.e. from "BiteYourApple" or similar sites AND THEN activated THAT unoficial version with a valid key then it might not work. After reading this entire thread I put that to the test. The result was that the pirated version from "BiteYourApple" (in this case), although it had accepted the valid license, didn't work at all.
Corrective measures: Uninstall iCaughtU, and then reinstall the legit version. Since I purchased the license I activated it and tested it. It worked perfectly.
Just a heads up in case you have activated an unofficial version.
Hope this helps.

That makes sense.
Always the hacked/pirated versions are the one that cause issues.
If you like the program and its useful to you then spend the $2-3 and buy it.
You wont have to deal with any issues and will get regular legit updates with no bugs.
Stay away from cracked packages.
Just my opinion.

Hi all,

I've tried both iGotYa and iCaughtU (not Pro) in the last day and I can't get either of them to work consistently.

iCaughtU:
I can't get any emails to be sent at all, neither for entering the passcode incorrectly, nor for trying to shut down the phone from the lock screen (although it does prevent the phone from shutting down)

iGotYa:
Emails are occasionally sent for but incorrect passcode entry or attempted shutdown, but really infrequently and there doesn't appear to be any pattern.

1) Are there any conflicts with other Cydia apps that might be causing the problem?
2) Has anyone encountered this problem, an if so, how did you manage to resolve it/them?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks Defiantmacho for this post. I've been holding off buying iCaughtU because of multiple threads stating it has issues. As an aside, are you noticing any battery drainage issues? I have Lockinfo, any conflicts? Thanks in advance.

No battery issues at all :)
I believe that the program is triggered only by the error recorded from the failure to input the correct code to unlock the device.
Regarding any conflicts, I haven't experienced any so far. Though I do not have Lockinfo.

Ive been using Icaughtyoupro for years on multiple devices and never had an issue. Currently have it on 6 devices (iphone 4, 4s, 2 x 5s, and ipad 3, ipod 5g) with zero issues. Never had an issue.

On an aside, people should just buy legit versions and pay the devs. These guys are not millionaires, every dollar helps.
