I guess it depends on your needs; I needed something that would remind me of tasks to accomplish and ToDo does exactly that! Good luck with your decision and keep me posted!

I decided to go with AwesomeNote.

I really determined that my need was not so much for a ToDo app as it was for a place to collect my thoughts and ideas together in a single place with occasionally attaching tasks to them. AwesomeNote seems to meet those perfectly.

Also I got tired of waiting for Todo to update to 4.0. I can't believe they haven't updated since May 14th..... AwesomeNote has had 6 updates since then. It can't even do multitasking and has had a lot of performance issues on 4.0.

I do think that Todo is a much better.. "ToDo" application, especially if they ever release an update... and if I ever determine a need for something like that Todo will probably be my first stop, but until then I am very pleased with AwesomeNote :)

as long as we are on the topic. how does the nearby function work in 2Do? does it have to be open? does it alert me? cause i couldn't figure out how to make it work

let me start by saying this answer is based on limited usage of the lite version of 2do.

from my understanding you have to be in the app for it to be locationally aware. although, if you have a date/time set for it you will still be alerted as normal (regardless of where u r). The only use for it that I noticed was while in the app you could see what actions were required "close" to you. (I don't know what "close" means. possibly adjustable) and then you can use to map to look around and see where you need to do what.

I don't think it monitors ur location while not in the app, making alerts when you enter a specific region impossible. But technically that IS possible if that's how they are implementing it, but as far as I know they are not.
