  1. A bluetooth remote for iDevices and all the IR-less Macs coming out now.
  2. An updated Magic Mouse with BT Low Energy support and an improved touch sensor.
  3. An optional camera for the AppleTV, which when connected would activate an otherwise hidden FaceTime app.

2) An audiophile's iPod Classic. Sure, iPods are dying, especially the Classic with its clickwheel, but I'd love an ultimate audiophile's iPod with a high quality DAC and audio chip. Also a high-capacity SSD (256 GB, anyone?), which is more energy-efficient and less failure-prone than the current HDDs. It'd be expensive as hell, but considering that the iPod Classic is really only targeted to a niche, it'd be a good low-volume product. Maybe even one that could be made in the states (like the Mac Pro).

This^^ My current classic is my most prized apple product out of all my current apple stuff and to have this, oh my...

Yikes! We'd need an Ax chip in the screen/tablet part and an Intel processor in the keyboard part! I imagine that we'd lose some aesthetics with such a design, though.

Would something like that not be possible though? I remember reading that some PC manufacturer (think it was Samsung) brought out a laptop that had both Windows 8 and Android on it and could be used as a Windows 8 PC or Android tablet.

A real point-and-shoot camera that is also a phablet -- more precisely, that has an iOS-based interface, full-frame sensor, quality lens (e.g. ~Leica), and is also a cell-phone - instant transmission of key photos, w/ accurate GPS location and time.

A 2008 size/appearance/feel unibody 17" high-res matte-display macbook pro updated with current mobile graphics and a Xeon E3-1265Lv3 processor with 16 GB ECC memory. Removable battery that can be swapped. No DVD. USB3, etc., just as now. Display: 2560x1600 now, 3840x2400 when available.

An mid-tower Mac based on Xeon E3-1275v3.

An Xserve based on dual Xeon E5's, with 4 PCIe-3 x16 slots, integrated 10 Gbps Ethernet, and lots of 2.5" disk slots.

Just looking back at this 4.5yo thread for fun to see what actually came true.

The only one remotely close to becoming reality is the iMac Pro with desktop parts (plus the right name!) although not that upgradeable.

But no improved iPods, open-hardware Macs, gaming laptop, car, rocket, or condoms :p

... new Apple Watch wristbands ... we can’t have anything ...

Meanwhile I got me another Win10 Tablet I can hug; but continue wishing Apple gives us that for macOS-powered devices.
