I never understood this idea... "I have something pretty I want to protect, so it won't become ugly. So let me cover it with this ugly case to preserve its beauty".

I understand protecting mobile devices from actual hardware damage by using a case, but to protect an iMac from cosmetic damage by covering it with an ugly case? Seems so ironic.
