My main concern is for the IP67 rating. The iPhone 6 wasnt water resistant. I understand that there should be no day to day issues or anything, this is mainly a concern for the water staying out

Honestly I wouldn't, and don't worry about it, as it seems to be fairly prevalent. It stands to reason that if only "your and my" device had this "defect", it could be a substantial flaw, but as it seems to be fairly common (on these forums and also with other iPhone sevens in the wild from what I've heard) I'm not going lose sleep over it.

Nor am I going to dunk the phone in water, either, to check if it indeed does have a negative effect to the water resistance. Regarding normal use, Que Sera, Sera. I doubt raindrops will be the undoing of my phone.

All of this is, of course, just my view on all of this. YMMV.

EDIT: Just added the preceding comment since there was a page change. Carry on.

Hi

This has been mentioned before but it was not taken very seriously.

We have a 7 and a 7+ and on the 7+ the lightning port is sticking out and feels sharp when I rest my pinky against the base of the phone. Are all of the larger phones like this?

My thread is the second one CDM posted. You can try your luck at the Apple Store, but honestly I forgot about it a day after I made the post and haven't thought about it until I stumbled upon your thread.

Looks like a lot of people have the same thing and some say it acts like a washer for the new lightning earphones with the rubber on the lightning side.

JB 128GB 7+ here...mine has the same issue OP mentioned. Just ever so slightly so that your nail catches if you run it across it. I thought it was just me. However, every other aspect of this phone is awesome, so I'm not wasting my time at the apple store trying to get a replacement. I just ignore it.
