Protube app is so much better then the Google Youtube app on iOS

Title says it all...it is 3 dollars, but this app is incredible, has no ads, displays videos in a MUCH much better fashion, and the streaming performance is honestly alot better(the google Youtube app feels like it is being throttled in ways) in loading HD videos and everything, can scrub back and forth in the video too with no reloading, has Chromecast support also aswell, AND! also has background play support too which is awesome. It also boots up within literally 1 second on my 6 Plus which makes it extremely fast

Has 1080p video for all iPhones, great app honestly and is alot better then the Youtube app from Google

And MOST IMPORTANTLY...no ads!!!! This app is fantastic...and has 64 bit support already and you can honestly tell the performannce difference with it being a 64 bit app now (if you have a 5S/6)

And unlike the current YouTube app on iOS 8, you can background this one and the audio will continue to stream. It was well worth the money to pick this app up for just that one feature for me.

Glad I could help lol, and the font is a little different, but i dont mind...maybe down the road they have a option to change fonts

I cant believe i didnt mention it had no ads in my OP, Thats like one of the best features of the app lol.

Love the app on my 6 Plus but on my Air 2 every time I close the app out and go to run it again I need to sign in to my YouTube account.

Latest Google YouTube app update is totally crap. UI rotation lags, can't stream 1080p videos on iPad Air while with 3rd party apps no problems...will give a try for this app.

Yeah i dont understand why i cant stream 1080p for **** at all on really good strong wifi performance on the Google Youtube app but literally in protube it renders and loads 1080p videos literally nearly instaneously for me and i am able to scrub through it easily and it plays instantly too

I got this app and I LOVE the design, especially when scrolling through videos, the 3D effect is incredible and smooth. However I signed into my account and less than half of my subscriptions were there. I was like "Okay I will just re-subscribe". All was fine, the subscriptions were showing up, but then I started doing things pretty fast. It kept saying "Too many requests performed. Try again later." And then nothing would work. It just said "Error" for my account and now nothing will work even after I restarted my iPad and signed out. I will try re downloading the app, we will see how it goes. It seems really, really good so far, but the bugs are a bit rambunctious for now. Hope they're fixed soon.

[Edit] Redownloading the app worked. When I opened it, I was already signed back in and my subscriptions were there. Excited to see how the video playback area of this app is!

[Edit 2] This is a keeper. Replacing Youtubes spot on my dock for this. It's a bit laggy when rotating and such though on my mini 2, but YouTube was laggy when rotating as well, so it's not much of a loss, really.

Yeah no problem man, thought the same exact thing, this app literally blows away Googles youtube app, not even a exaggeration, in everyway, streaming performance, speed of app, everything, design and layout of app is infinitely times better, and bestly no damn ADS! which is fantastic

What I love about this app is that I can choose what resolution videos stream in. I had a tonne of buffering issues with the Google app because it always started streaming in the highest possible resolution.

If you have an iPad Air or mini 2/3, rotating with *this* app lags horribly as well, unfortunately. Not sure about the air 2, but the app is still generally better than YouTube for sure!

Actually, i am not , I just remember seeing this app one time and I forgot what it was called because I didnt purchase it before, you can clearly tell by my post history im not a dev lol

It's weird how right nite, out there, somewhere, somehow, the forces of darkness are gathering to destroy this app in some future update. Normally I'd just immediately install this but nowadays I just can't be bothered. I'm tired of routing and getting used to an app, then one day having it just go straight to hell.

Just downloaded the app. Worth every cent. It runs 1080p video on my iPad without a hickup. How did I not know of this app until now???

Normally I don't buy 3rd party apps but after reading all of your positive reviews including the reviews on the App Store itself, I bit the bullet and bought it. I have to say this app is beyond amazing! First thing's first, this app is FAST and SMOOTH. Everything is instantaneous! Scrub in and fast forwarding a video is instant. Switching between portrait and landscape is quick and smooth. I love the default quality and background audio options as well. The only minor complaint I have is that you cannot reply to comments or like them. All in all the best YouTube app I've seen on iOS 9/10
