PSA - The PVD coating on series 10 doesn’t seem to help much with scratches

It's well documented here that the milanese can and will scratch the watch case if let come into contact when removing/putting on.

Can be avoided with care. Not any consolation to those who've innocently marked their watch, I know. Maybe an obvious warning in the packaging would help.
 
Would be curious as well if this happened from removal or maybe using it during sleep? (since the magnet might in theory move around)?
