Yeah, I agree about the stress test. I just don't think it is worth it. I have apple care, if something goes wrong I can take it to my local apple store and pitch a fit. Now time to wait to see if I get a great refurbished macbook pro or am one of the unlucky few who get the crappy ones. I am counting on a good-one!

If you have AppleCare you will be fine.
My 17" 2.6ghz is one day old and I have three years of AppleCare to cover it. Since I will be selling it in two years, nine months, I am not worried at all.
Smart to buck up for AppleCare -- I know the Pain: my system, with applecare and the upgraded processor (2.6), RAM (4 gig -- from Kingston, not Apple), 17" High Res Screen, and Applecare cost me $3450 -- WOW! And that was with a student discount and sales tax exemption. Ouch.
But it is the best Mac I have ever owned, even better than my very well built Quad G5, which, in itself is one bad moo fooo.
