Not at all, its about mental capacity. People that buy late in the cycle, ESPECIALLY knowingly, lack it.

Now thats a bit of a self righteousness opinion and for some it might actually be valid, but in the instance of this thread, once nasty devils iMac requirements have been read it's proven his mental capacity is in fact in tact and not needing to wait for the refresh and, I am sure he will will enjoy iMac for the next few years as have many others who decided not to wait...

I for one do not play video games on computers that's what the xbox and wii are for, which I only use with my son. I don't think that currently there are enough device readily avaiable to use a thunderbolt port at this time, nor will I be looking for it. I am also fairly certain that I will have no use for a quad core chip, the dual core works just fine for me, and since I am starting project next week that I need to have a desktop for now is a good time to buy. I didn't pay full price for my iMac, nor did I buy a refurb for me it was a deal that I could not pass up. I think the people who lack mental capacity are the ones who feel their situation mimic everyone elses situation.

bo-waleed; It's possible. It was a good price :)

Macginger; Indeed. Current requirements are more then enough for me.

Reason I bought it now, is not because I can't wait. The specs that are available now are more then enough for my requirements. And according to the rumors, Light Peak and other stuff I believe will not be used heavily in the next few months/end of year.

But I also agree that if the iMac is at the end of its lifecycle, and you bought it because you can't wait, well then, with my respect, it's a silly thing to do :)

I don't think I'll do a lot of gaming on the iMac, if any. I have a gaming PC, a Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and a Wii. I've no reason to buy a Mac to use it for gaming. :)

Enjoy your new iMac mate, respect to you

Nah I don't think so. Since I'm in Kuwait, it has to be shipped to my forwarding company. It'll be delivered to them tomorrow the 28th.

They then usually take 7-10 days to ship + customs.

bo-waleed; ordered on the 24th.
