velox - a registered kodak term used generically to describe a type of prepress proof or camera-ready artwork.
quark - as in quarkXpress
cyan - part of the cmyk setup.
knockout - a portion of an image that has been removed. (i think KO sounds cute.)
gif - graphics interchange format.
rez - a nickname for resolution.
