Well, I wasn't going to comment bc everyone already hit all of the points and you are probably well into enjoying using your new MAC :D, but I just couldn't get over the size of it's box. It is tiny! In one picture, it looks as if it is smaller than the time capsule. Just for comparison, I have a 12" powerbook that I carry along side of my MBP and like most mac people, esp. the ones here, I keep all of my boxes. The box that is stashed away for my powerbook looks like a suitcase compared to yours. You could probably fit 3 of your airs in mine:D.

Tack that on to another reason why I might want an air down the road. Freed up closet space. Ha

Anyways, congrats on your purcahse. I know you are pumped up. I almost feel like I got a new Mac by read your post!

As an Apple Shareholder, I'm glad you bought two macbook airs today! :D

:D hahaha! Well, as a stakeholder in the company, I too am happy that I bought them...It's been a relatively short period of time, but it has already changed how I do business for the better

So do you mind telling u how much all that was?
I have a feeling it was almost $5000, if not then right around there.

You'd be correct in your assumption. It's fairly easy to figure it out, but yes...it was a little closer to $6k

The box is quite small. Everything has it's place and I just LOVE that about it. I know all about saving boxes as I have an entire closet full of boxes...they mostly serve as the "ghost of all gadgets past" :D

Outstanding purchases! Thanks for posting the pictures, too; it's always nice to see real people using a product that I've considered buying. I love my new MacBook, but an MBA might just be my next Mac...I love the size and your pictures are great evidence of the comparison to other devices. Maybe an MBA will be my wife's first Mac...ya never know! :D

We're all a bunch of addicts...

And I am the worst! I need a support group... oh wait... this is my support group! Thanks for sharing the pictures it's almost like being there.

My husband could use a new laptop and seeing those really gives me the shopping bug! I love that you got everything all at once. That's how we roll.

Tell me, how do you find the processor speed when you are downloading stuff, working online and between different apps? Did you guys beef of the Ram? Is it even necessary to add more Ram? Were you using Macs before? Inquiring minds want to know.

You can't add more RAM to the Air. The RAM is soldered onto the mainboard and there are no slots for more.

It's a beautiful device, but I'm more interested in how it performs. How long can you watch youtube for? What are the temps?

Nice purchase. It reminds me of the time I bought 8 iPhones.

Congrats on the purchase and decision OP!

Because those are pictures other people took and posted online. ;)

Makes sense.
Just wanted to be sure.
It was probably a pic of them wheeling in the iPhones into the back, but don't those come in boxes that are unpackaged in the back?!
I'd like to know exactly what they're doing in that picture.

Just thought I would drop in and let everyone know that the Macbook Air is by far the best computer I've ever owned and I've owned quite a few :D

I'm continually impressed with the size and it's ability to go everywhere I need it to and accomplish what I need it to accomplish. My holding company is in the process of starting 3 new ventures...2 on the east coast and 1 in CA. This little guy has taken me into many meetings, and on a few occasions has taken over the show ;)

Both of our Airs have been superb and without problems so we're sure to make future purchases with Apple!

Take care everyone!

I'm aware that this is an old thread (please forgive me since I hardly ever hang out in here) but I just wanted to say that I'm officially jealous of someone's mac setup. 2 MBAs

BEAUTIFUL

Can't wait to get one of my own someday.

How does it feel using programs? Nice and speedy? I really want to buy one, but I want it to be snappy. I pretty much only use the computer for Word Processing, Internet, and Music, Movies. Thats it. So let me know how this thing works in those departments : ) Would greatly appreciate it.
