I can’t remember the video. It was on YouTube, but I would think the extra information about consistency on the natural titanium wouldn’t be added if it was possibly true. I do understand that a YouTuber isn’t exactly a reputable source.
During the event they stated there was a pvd coating on the titanium for the pros but I’m wondering if that includes the natural titanium. I’m leaning toward that color now but not if it’s going to scratch easier than the other colors.
From what I read if the Blue or Black gets scratched it will show the natural Titanium color under it, so I assume with that info that its only on the Black and Blue.
So confused why people think the Ti won't scratch, to the point that they think this image is doctored? To me this scratch is more than believable, its a "duh"...
No, so you get what you pay for. So PVD but not the best execution.
While people love to discredit YouTubers, I think Marques Brownlee has a good reputation and confirmed the finger print magnet issue and also that the finish can scratch revealing the natural color titanium underneath so if this matters to you, buy the natural titanium color so it won’t show as much.
i'm assuming the color underneath the coating will look more like the natural titanium iphone color than the bnrightened titanium on the white phone :-/
and i decided on white again cuz it gets less hot in the sun
