Interesting... My CPUs diode reading generally sit at about 34-44 degrees at idle, yet the BOOST fans both spin at 1113 RPM, machine as in sig and latest version of OS X.

Just start CUDA-Z or OpenGL Extensions Viewer. Fans are running normally after again. I start CUDA-Z as startup item.

I can't speak for the specifics of the Mac pro cooling but 77C seems really high to me. Thats 170F. That's more what I would expect out of a video card.
