Congrats grant. I'm getting one as soon as they get updated! IMO it's the best looking Apple laptop at the moment, with the matte MBP's being second and the MacBook last :)

Actually I loved my Macbook, I had it for years, I never saw the need for the Macbook Pro, however after using the illuminated keyboard last night, I will NEVER be able to own a laptop that does not have this feature, OMG I love that feature, and I didn't even know the Macbook Air had it till I got it yesterday!!!

Oh also the 4 ~ 5 hour battery life is just sooo nice

Haha, the illuminated keyboard sure is nice. To be honest, back when I had a Dell laptop I always envied the illuminated keyboard in Powerbooks because I often used my laptop in the dark after my girlfriend had gone to sleep and could never find the keys. However, since finally getting a lit keyboard in my MacBook Pro last year, I've virtually never used the feature and tend to just turn the brightness right down anyway to conserve battery. For one I hardly ever have to use my laptop in the dark anymore and for another, the screen is so bright even on minimum brightness level that I don't have a problem seeing the keys.

If anything, I wish Apple would allow the screens to be set to ever dimmer levels on both their laptops and their iPhones. Honestly, I could happily have my iPhone set to half the brightness it currently has on minimum level when I read books on it in the dark in bed.

Yeah I'm the same way, but I still love the keyboard :D. I agree with you on both the brightness of the iPhone (32gb Touch for me) and the Macbook Air, though the Air is dimmer than my Macbook was so that is nice for me

Good good :). I meant the new look MacBook though not the older ones. I just dont like the new ever so shiny finish on the plastic unibody MacBook. Much prefer the 'old' plastic finish :D

Is it really that shiny? I only hovered for about three seconds before a White Unibody in the store and thought it just looked like a cleaner, smoother version of the previous white MacBook.

Still cooing I see. I am also, even after over a month! I too loved the keyboard the first time I saw it light up. The MBA is simply amazing.

Yes it was positively beaming. Doesn't help that a lot of lights were right above it and they are bright but i wasn't that impressed with it. The plastic IMO just looked cheaper

Yeah, I don't think I could go back to a plastic laptop now that I'm used to aluminium ones. Apple laptops will probably be made out of glass in five year's time.
