It's not going to happen. Verizon will NEVER get the iPhone, at least certainly not until that mythical and/or distant point in the future when Verizon's LTE network is fully rolled out, with good coverage everywhere.
If Verizon, by some act of God, got the iPhone before LTE; then no- you couldn't surf and talk at the same time.

It;'s what a 5yr exclusive agreement so 2012 min and even then i bet at&t will pay basically anything for exclusivity. Plus once verizon switches to lte the coverage advantage is gone for verizon so i dont even see a point in getting them over at&t.

The five years was always bogus. It was a Verizon official's joke that started that myth.
Later articles suggest exclusivity ending mid-2010, plus the ATT CEO has been talking about life after exclusivity recently.
Not sure what you mean. Verizon plans to roll out LTE across their entire footprint by around end of 2013. ATT isn't very clear what their schedule is. Anyone got a recent link for that?
I love how everyone is a hater on Verizon! It will never come to verizon people are saying! I'm sick of it, everyone keeps saying it will stay on AT&T forever or like AT&T is god for having the iphone! I'm on the fence switching to AT&T right now until I hear what happens in JUNE.
If it comes on their 3G network, no. Their LTE/4G network probably will support it. But I think their Android phones support wifi + cell phone talking at the same time, so that would probably be possible, if, if, if, if....
They don't Leo Laporte tested it live on MacBreak weekly, and talking and data only work together if the data is handled by WiFi.
