Some scale nicely, others become really choppy and pixelated.

For example, I like playing Worms on my iPad, but I have the iPhone version. The graphics aren't HD, but they're fine in my opinion. And the faster iPad makes the game much zippier.

But if I try to use Facebook, it becomes all blech looking.

There are a couple of iPhone apps that I use on the iPad that don't look awful when used. Mostly reference material and one photography app.

I agree that the difference is stark, but I find the extra size alone makes the app much more pleasant to use.

At some point I may, if the option is available, upgrade to HD. But the difference isnt so severe that I just cant use the iPhone app as is...

Most of the iPod/iPhone Apps I have on my iPad work pretty well.

GeoDefense and Angry Birds both work really well and don't look bad at all even though they're not in HD. (I have the iPhone versions of them)

The one thing I don't like is the iPhone style keyboard. It would have been nice to somehow keep the higher quality iPad keyboard inside apps running at 2x.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

Bejeweled is the only iPhone app on my iPad. Can get much better blitz scores on the bigger screen. !!

Totally depends on the app itself.

some, like bejewelled, are great.

others, like facebook, look awful and suck pretty bad.

there are usually alternatives for those that dont work particularly well.

friendly for ipad is a damn good replacement for facebook.

I have about 10 or so on my iPad and I hate how many devs have been too lazy to come out with universal and likewise I don't like the idea of being charged for an iPad version. I got ScoreCenter XL from ESPN but the layout is awful, the original ScoreCenter is way better but looks bad on the iPad. I put all my iPhone only 2x apps on one screen last night but I am really looking forward to 4.2 for folders and some iPad cleanup.

Only geoDefense, which by the way is probably one of the best iPhone games ever.

Think my only one is Angry Birds, mostly because i didn't want to pay double for exactly the same game on tne iPad.
