As the title says??

As the title states? How often do you restart your iPhone or hard rest your iPhone?

Only when necessary, as during restarts required by Updates.

Do you realize that the "Shutdown" (and restart) of the iPhone rarely swats away the minor app glitches? The glitches are still there until you actually (hard) exit the apps. I found out that that's how common app glitches are taken care of (like Notifications that won't go away even after they've been seen). Yup, all it takes is a very simple app exit (as in a hard quit, not a close-window).

I have found after 6 months of iPhone that it performs better for longer without a restart than my previous 6 Android phones. Many weeks after last restarting, performance is still fine. I have to hand it to iOS!

(My 6 Androids:

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i
Samsung Galaxy S
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
Sony Xperia Z1
Sony Xperia Z5 Compact
Samsung Galaxy J1)

Almost never. I don't get why anyone would need to restart it unless it's acting strangely which in my experience iPhones rarely do.

And when they do act up, as I implied in post above, it's usually just an individual app acting up. One simply needs to (fully) "exit" the app with the Swipe Up method. Doing this very often fixes minor glitches and app misbehavior. No need for a Slide to Power Off.

also, am I the only that is afraid they might forget their unlock password.... (I always use face unlock)
Huh?

I use a 6 digit passcode with numbers that only has meaning to me and am very unlikely to forget. If you're afraid you'll forget your password then it has no meaning to you and you should probably put it in some password app.

I shut mine off every day of the week when I get to work in the morning and then turn it back on during the afternoon. If I have it on all day, it will prove too much of a distraction and will certainly be detrimental to my productivity.

I turn my iPhone off every night. I have a separate alarm clock and don't really enjoy being woken early with a call if it's my day off.

Why not leave the phone on in case of emergency from family, and put the phone in DND at night? As long as family and other important people are on the VIP list of contacts, they will be able to reach you.

That's what we do (except for the DND part).

Our phones are on 24/7. It's the only way to get a hold of us as we ditched our home phone over 10 years ago.

I would hate to sleep through an emergency call at 2am because my phone was off.

Only for iOS updates. I've never, ever had a problem with iOS that has required a restart.

As a "test" a while ago, I got my old iPhone 6s up to 200 days uptime.

Keeping the phone on 24/7 wears out the battery faster than if it is turned off every night, even if it's left in the charger - due to micro cycling of the battery. Unless you want to talk on the phone at 3am, I can't see any reason to keep the phone powered up overnight.
A fresh reboot every day (if you must keep the phone powered 24/7) accomplishes a lot of good things and only takes 30 seconds.
