That's assuming Lion is $129, which I imagine it will be. But maybe they'll make it $29 or $79, other common "Apple prices." We'll see.

But I find ADC is a pretty good price at $99/year, just because of all the other things you have access to, including (right now) Snow Leopard, Snow Leopard Server, various SDKs and all the Xcode releases from 3.2 on. I'm not a serious developer by any means, but I actually use Xcode for a variety of various small projects, and it's really nice.

I agree. That 99/year is great for what you actually do get.

Thank you so much for the help. I will definitely be getting and ADC account then because that is a great deal and I would like to support Apple.

Does anyone know - if you join the ADC - are all of the beta versions of OS's couriered out to you via disc automatically?

When I was beta testing SL, DHL was showing up every 2 weeks with a new dvd version. (as well as the downloads available).

With Leopard, no, you had to manually download and install each build as they came. With Snow Leopard, you could get the latest builds through Software Update. Now, Lion appears to be using the App Store, which is basically the same thing as having it via Software Update.
