Queue Status at 5th Avenue Store

Things heard at 6:00pm on 6/29/07 on 5th Avenue.

You bring up a good point. I was thinking that these guys were hired by Apple/AT&T to sit there as some kind of crazy marketing stunt. It definitely has captured our attention.

I guess I dismissed that theory since it might look bad if it got out that those guys are marketing "plants".

There was a blip on NPR around 5 pm mountain time, where they played interviews. One fella just wandered into line and now was trying find friends to help him (He was on his way to an appointment when he got lured in):rolleyes:
 
Anyway, back on topic... where did their metal fence thingy go? Someone should grab one and pull it over closer to the door and re-start the line closer to the door. :)
 
How many of you are there in line now at the 5th Avenue store? How frequently are people joining the line?

Someone may have said this already, but that first guy in line already looked like he'd been camping all week on that very first day. I wonder what will be left of him by Friday night.
 
My bet is there is some hidden agenda or motive with these early waiters....Think about it, why would you wait 5 days in advance when no body is even in line yet???? Why wouldnt they check throught the week to see if a line forms and be ready when that occurs? It really just doesnt seems like anybody in the right mind would become essentially homeless in NYC for 5 days when as of today weds. The past two days have proven to be a complete unnecessary wait.

If anyone cares I will be head downtown to the 5th ave store in 20 min to take camera phone pics of Greg and Co. Will post updates

I care. See if they have been talking to anyone about getting a webcam set up. That would be a great addition to one of their blogs to see a live shot of what is going on. Not sure if there would be a security risk associated with that or not though.
