Telegram just got updated today with quick reply.
No ideas about other chat apps, since I only use that, whatsapp and iMessage.

by the time WhatsApp implements this we will start talking about iPhone 7 rumors and iOS 10 ^^

This is so true, you know. :p

At least, I'd not be surprised if it does take WhatsApp a lot of time, again.. Really hate it, because I do use it most often of all my chat applications. In fact, it might even be the most used app on my iPhone. The fact that they take so long to update their app really drives me nuts. xD

It seems that WhatsApp Messenger yesterday updated their app with 3D Touch (Peek and Pop) which only works with iPhone 6s and 6s+ phones. But it seems that this version also added quick reply but only if you have 9.1 beta running it does not work with 9.0.2. It's odd i know. I'm testing it out right now with 9.1 beta 4 (i know beta 5 is out).

Running iOS 9.1 beta as well, and Quick Reply in WhatsApp indeed works here. Already heard users on iOS 9.0 - 9.0.2 are not able to use it at the moment.

Not sure why, but like bushido says there could have been an issue in earlier versions. Anyway, iOS 9.1 will be released soon. At least, so far it looks like it will be later this month or early November.

Maybe but why don't we hear any complaints from users from other apps like Messenger, Telegram, Tweetbot4 or Twitter which can works with quick reply also on iOS9.0.2.

I did saw this tweet with screenshot showing the code which indicates the block in the app that you can only use it with iOS9.1 and up.

WhatsApp quick reply is running indeed fine on iOS9.1 beta 4 here.
